The Guardian Toy Run was established to help Guardians provide toys for the children they advocate for. Some of these children are in group homes, foster homes or transitional homes. Many times, they do not receive much for Christmas.

The toys that are collected from this drive will be from a person involved in their life and for some of them, the only toy they receive. The Guardian ad Litem Toy Closet does not receive enough donations to supply a toy to each child. This drive will help meet this need and fill the Toy Closet.

The first annual event was held on November 19, 2011. Combined with those that sponsored, donated and participated in the event, we were able to take 246 toys, 11 gift cards and quite a few batteries to the Guardian ad Litem program in Hillsborough County.

We are looking to continue to help the Guardians and Voices for Children in any way that we can as we are going on our 7th year of this event.
